This was the only car that-ever broke down on Me during a Road-Test (alternator-therefore, battery failure). Going to give her a good tune up soon and I plan to have her for years to come! Don't expect to take this car off-road unless you want it to complain the entire way □Īll in all, this is probably the best car I have owned to date. Suspension is a little stiff and clumsy, but again, reliable. ![]() Road noise is pretty average for a Honda, can be loud if you're used to Toyota or Chevy. No big unless you're looking for a luxury vehicle! As usual, Honda is known for great power trains, but a fairly cheap interior. Sound system is incredible stock, with an 8 inch shallow throw sub in the rear deck. The computer lets me go up to 7k miles between changes! Good thing for me because this is my daily all around the state driver. I only run Chevron or Shell fuel, and Mobil 1 super synthetic oil to keep things clean. Hondas are reliable to a fault, even more so with regular maintenance. Had to get the tire sensors replaced and a remote made for it, but I haven't had any mechanical issues whatsoever. Had about 125k ish on the odometer when purchased, coming up on 143k now with absolutely zero issues. The M45 has a harsh ride compared to my late model Toyota Avalon, and the seats are a little hard for longer trips.ĮX coupe, I4 engine, 5 speed manual transmissionīought this car used, traded in a Subaru Forester for it. There is a relatively small M45 community, making DIY projects hard to reference. These however were easy to remedy for myself. When I bought the car few minor things, namely the Fan Control Module and Idler Pully, required some attention. The VK45DE is relatively easy to work on yourself with a little know how. The M45 really shines on the highway, offering torque at almost any speed. Equiped with the sports package the M45 feels lighter on it's feet than you would expect for a car of this size, and offers enough power to put a grin on anyones face. I was really impressed with the curb apeal and interior styling. I purchased my 07 M45 from it's second owner back in April.
