![]() ![]() Recently, I visited my local Apple store to discuss my concerns and you would not believe the "solution" offered - buy the most current version of the scanner! Sorry, ~$1,800, no way! Nothing wrong with my GT-15000, works like a champ in Windows. So, if my OS 10.6 can see the scanner, why can't Acrobat and Photoshop see it? Scanning via Preferences is just far too clumsy for this large application. I'm considering the purchase of an iMac27, and really need the ability to use my GT-15000 scanner for this application, which may take me about a year to complete, along with a variety of other commitments. BTW, if I hit the "scan" button on my scanner, the OS 10.6 scan interface will pop up, but only allows a single graphic image at a time that I cannot save directly as a PDF, a clumsy workaround option. This I can do in Windows, but not in my Macbook. I have about 300+ century old oversize periodicals of about 60 pages each that I wish to scan directly into Acrobat in PDF format. However, what confounds me is that while the OS sees the scanner, my applications do not. Yes, I did find that via Preferences, my OS10.6 does see my Epson GT-15000 and will allow me to scan a document.
